The Reijenga family from Harich decided to invest in cooling fans for their dairy cattle. The fans were installed in the spring of 2021. Marije Reijenga tells how the HVLS ventilators gave birth 2 years later.
“Our stable already has an insulated roof that blocks a lot of heat and side wall ventilation that provides air flow. But we still noticed that on warm, windless days this was not enough to keep the cows comfortable.” The family then decided to look for fans and came across DSD stable equipment.
“The HVLS fans have been in place for about two years now and we are very pleased with them. You notice that they can provide that extra bit of cooling to make the cows feel comfortable,” says Marije. “You notice that the fans provide nice fresh air when you are in the stable.”
Marije is also very satisfied with the installation and communication. “They arrived early in the morning and by the end of the day they were already running. The timing was perfect, just for the warm summer that was coming.” She says. “There was also good communication. If there is something wrong with the fans and you call them, they will come quickly or try to help you remotely. So that works very well.”
Two years ago, HVLS fans were installed at the VOF Reijenga Harich dairy farm by DSD stable equipment. In this video Marije Reijenga talks about their experience with the installation and use of the fans.
