DSD Stalventilation has a fresh look at stable ventilation and sees air, just like water and feed, as a basic necessity for your cows. Without sufficient fresh air, your animals' body functions are not optimal and their health and well-being remain substandard.
It is of the utmost importance that the so-called natural ventilation, as the most important pillar, is carried out sufficiently and optimally. Natural ventilation consists of side wall and ridge ventilation and is important for the supply of sufficient fresh, clean air and the removal of harmful gases. In lower stables, the harmful air will largely be removed via the ridge. In the higher stables with larger side wall openings, more cross ventilation will occur.
During windless and warm days, even the most optimal natural ventilation systems are often not sufficient. Heat stress can still occur. This can already occur at a temperature of approximately 23°C and an air humidity of 70%. To prevent damage from heat stress, cooling fans are definitely worth considering. Good stable ventilation is the key to a healthy and dry stable environment, in which disease pressure decreases and animal welfare increases.
During windless or warm days, even the best is natural ventilation not enough to maintain the temperature in the stable. By adding good cooling fans, this is possible.
Good air circulation through the stable is therefore very important for your cows. By replacing stable walls with side wall ventilation, the degree of ventilation can be adjusted depending on the weather.
Our Super Flow ventilation ridges are based on the “chimney principle” and realize optimal removal of stable air and thus a healthy stable climate.
High cow comfort and welfare will soon be reflected in milk production. Our specialists are happy to come to your stable to see what the possibilities are.
